1. About Us

Life Threads ("we", "us", "our") is a business operating in New Zealand. We provide AI-assisted, personalised life path reflection reports ("Readings") delivered electronically to customers worldwide.

By purchasing a Reading or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Nature of Our Service

Our Readings are personalised written reports generated from the information you provide in our questionnaire. They are intended for reflective, personal development purposes only.

Important limitations:

  • Readings do not constitute professional psychological, medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic advice.
  • Readings are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified health professional.
  • We make no supernatural claims. Readings are grounded solely in the information you provide.
  • Results vary by individual. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes from your Reading.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or crisis service such as Lifeline New Zealand (0800 543 354) or the crisis line for your country.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to purchase a Reading. By placing an order, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, you may only use our services with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

4. Ordering and Payment

All prices are displayed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) unless otherwise stated. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details.

Your order is confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email. Completion of your questionnaire initiates production of your Reading.

5. Consumer Guarantees and Refund Policy

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand) and the Fair Trading Act 1986, you have statutory rights that cannot be excluded. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

In addition to your statutory rights, we offer a 7-day satisfaction guarantee: if your Reading does not feel personalised or valuable to you, contact us within 7 days of receiving it and we will issue a full refund, no questions asked.

To request a refund, email support@lifethreads.online with your order details. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

Because Readings are custom digital goods produced upon your request, we are not required to offer a refund simply because you changed your mind after the Reading has been delivered; however, our voluntary 7-day guarantee applies regardless.

6. Delivery

Readings are delivered electronically to the email address you provide. We aim to deliver within 4 hours of questionnaire completion. Delivery times may occasionally be longer due to high demand or technical issues. We are not liable for delays caused by incorrect email addresses or spam filters.

Your questionnaire link is valid for 30 days after purchase. If you do not complete the questionnaire within 30 days, please contact us to arrange an extension.

7. Intellectual Property

Your Reading is created for your personal use. You are free to share it privately with trusted individuals such as a friend, therapist, or partner. You may not resell, republish, or publicly distribute your Reading without our prior written consent.

All other content on our website — including text, design, branding, and code — is owned by Life Threads and may not be copied or used without permission.

8. Accuracy of Information

You agree to provide truthful and accurate information in your questionnaire. The quality and relevance of your Reading depends on the information you provide. We are not responsible for Readings that are less relevant as a result of inaccurate or incomplete questionnaire responses.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law (including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Contractual Remedies Act 1979), our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to our services is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant Reading.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special loss, including loss of profit, loss of data, or any decision made in reliance on your Reading.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Privacy

Your personal information is collected and held in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand). Please read our Privacy Policy before purchasing.

11. Complaints

If you have a complaint about our service, please contact us first at support@lifethreads.online. We will endeavour to respond within 2 business days and resolve your complaint fairly and promptly.

If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may contact Consumer Protection New Zealand or seek independent legal advice.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify existing customers.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. If you are located in another country, your local consumer protection laws may also apply and are not excluded by this clause.
